Book a SessionVidushi’s tryst with psychology is a little bit like a romance novel where the protagonists finally meet after a series of missed chances. She completed her graduation in History and worked as an editor in a leading publishing house before the mysteries of the human mind dragged her towards her true calling, culminating in her co-founding Accept. Vidushi has gained clinical experience across private and government hospitals during which she worked with adolescents and adults experiencing a range of difficulties including depression, anxiety and interpersonal difficulties, as well as with children with special needs.
Vidushi’s approach to therapy is integrative, with an effort to be creative and flexible in the use of modalities, based on individual needs. While her primary orientation is systemic, person-centred and exploratory, she also makes use of different therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Supportive Psychotherapy and Emotionally-focused Therapy among others.
With her clients, Vidushi takes a collaborative approach, inviting them for equal participation in determining their journey. Alongside honoring and focusing on clients’ immediate needs and goals, she strives to go beyond the “problem” and encourages self-discovery, acceptance and affirmation, meaningful change and holistic growth.
Vidushi is open to working with adolescents and adults with a range of clinical and non-clinical difficulties including mood disturbances, low self-esteem, anxiety, OCD, difficulties with emotion regulation and expression, body consciousness, grief, everyday stressors and procrastination/time management. She is especially drawn to the field of interpersonal relationships and communication, and to working with couples, families and caregivers. Vidushi is LGBTQ+ affirmative.
Aside from conducting therapy, Vidushi is the brains behind a vast majority of the design and research elements for Accept, making sure our voice is measured yet thoughtful.
When Vidushi is not voraciously absorbing mental health literature, she enjoys fulfilling her (other) calling as an organizing enthusiast, growing her Sims empire, reading (and re-reading) books from her ever-expanding personal library and carefully curating her online shopping wishlists. She struggles to be a morning person and balance her endless to-do lists, and dislikes cold, sun-less days; anything to do with math/numbers, and the hype around Marie Kondo.
